Not You're Basic Engine Company Operations Class

Description:   The focus of this "hands on" engine class is aggressive fire attack. The philosophy or mindset is to attack and kill the fire with overwhelming force. 

Students will begin this class with a review of the mission, and the eight points of engine company operations. Students will then look at 25 pointers for efficient fire attack operations. The philosophy of this program is aggressive firefighting. The class will also review other important points of attack hardware and techniques.

The students will then move to the field where they will go over the different sizes of attack hose lines and their capabilities. Operating pressures and mechanics will be looked at. Students will review and perform fire attack, second line, and third line stretches along with different methods of getting hose lines into buildings. The class will also include stretches and operating from a standpipe scenario.
