Mission Success Starts With Mindset
Mike Dowling, Bill Schneakel
The mission of the Fire Service is based around successfully mitigating the citizens emergency. While many feel that “The fire went out and everyone went home” is good enough, that is not acceptable to us.
Beating the minimum standard starts with the individual Fire Fighter and carries upward through his or her organization all the way up to Chief. To beat the minimum standard requires that the individual and the organization develop a mindset of success.
This mindset should be embedded into personal preparation, apparatus and equipment design, strategic and tactical planning and the execution of those operations in the best interest of those we serve.
