Fire Behavior: flashover
instructors: Matt Kuntz, Josh Hull and zac miller
This course is designed to review fire dynamics as they relate to the fire growth/development in structures and permit students to witness flashover conditions in a controlled environment so that they can better understand the key indicators of rapid fire growth/flashover, risk based decision making and the proper methods to limit the occurrence of flashover during interior firefighting operations.
The ultimate goal of this training is to increase firefighter awareness and overall safety.
Students are required to bring compliant structural firefighting gear and scba. Students will enter the flashover simulator under live fire conditions.
this is a half day program and Students will be split into a morning session or an afternoon session. students will be notified of what program they are assigned to. Also they will be permitted to attend the second half of their day at the lecture sessions.
